1. How do I upload videos?

In the COCKPIT, click on UPLOAD CLIP. This can be done using either the dashboard or the menu bar. You can use BROWSE LOCAL HARD DISK to open a browser window and select a clip directly on your PC that you can then upload by clicking on the "Open" button.
In the next step you can undo this selection and delete the video clip. CONTINUE takes you to the METADATA editing screen where you can adapt them. SAVE METADATA saves your entries. Click on the START UPLOAD button to upload the clip. Once the upload is complete you can decide whether to upload a further clip.

2. Which channel is used to upload my videos?

The clips are automatically uploaded into the "New Videos" channel, in which all successfully encoded clips are recorded. These can then be moved manually.

3. Are my clips encoded automatically?

That depends on the format of your clips. For more on this please refer to the following document.

4. Which formats does the COCKPIT support for the encoding process?

5. How do I delete clips?

To delete a clip, first select the "Edit channels & playlists" function. Then select "Edit playlists" in the left-hand navigation panel and open the channel containing the clip you want to delete. Confirm your selection by clicking on the "Delete clip" icon. When you delete a clip, all references to it are also automatically deleted.

6. How do I edit a video's metadata?

If you want to edit the metadata of a video, click on the "Display/edit the clip metadata" icon of the clip in question in your playlist. A new window will then open in which you can edit the clip's metadata. Note that "Title" and "Description" are mandatory fields. Save your changes by clicking on "Save and close".
