Deutscher IPTV Verband is an amalgamation of small and mid-sized IPTV companies. The aim of the association is to represent the common interests of the IPTV industry. The association considers IPTV to be the transmission of moving images via an Internet protocol, which includes all end devices (mobile, stationary, etc.) and all kinds of IP-enabled networks (Internet, intranet, high-availability networks, etc.). The association believes that IPTV can only be a complete package if there is optimised cooperation between technology and content, and it therefore strives for the participation of all the occupational groups involved.
